Oregon Chapter – Thriving in 2020: A Discussion for Emerging Leaders in Healthcare

Come join us for a discussion on professional development and advancement in your healthcare career! 

Speaker: 

Brenda Purvis, SHRM-CP-PA, SWP, Sr. Workforce Planning Consultant with Kaiser Permanente.

Purvis oversees Workforce Planning for Kaiser Permanente NW as a mighty army of one! She spent most of her career in healthcare recruiting, and now works to ensure that her organization has 12,000 of the right people, in the right place, at the right time. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in her native language (English) and is a “corporate adult learner” putting off graduate education until her kids let her get a full night sleep. Brenda currently holds a certificate through the Society for Human Resource Management, with an emphasis in People Analytics and Strategic Workforce Planning. She secretly loves to edit resumes and provide career coaching, but is terrible at taking her own advice!

New and emerging leaders in health care, those who are interested in learning more about ways to develop their careers and exciting new healthcare fields.

What is the goal(s) of the event? How will it be accomplished?

Engaging attendees in thinking about their careers and how they can successfully move from where they are to where they want to be. It will be accomplished by an interactive presentation by our speaker and engagement with audience questions and feedback.
